Jeffrey S. Katz is the Technical Leader of Global University Programs at IBM Research, and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Previously at IBM he was the CTO of the Energy, Environment and Utilities industry. He co-chaired two IEEE Power and Energy Society workshops in 2017. He has BSEE and MSCS degrees, and did post-graduate work at Yale in EE. He is an author on seven patents, in tele-medicine, robotics and computer vision, intelligent electric power distribution, and energy aware cloud computing. Prior to IBM he was Manager of Computer Science at ABB Corporate Research.
